Mobile personal training for people over 40

Serving North Durras all the way through to Moruya and everywhere in between.

Yes, we come to you!

Hi, I’m Danielle

Fitness has always been part of my life. I represented Australia at a junior level in soccer and later went on to manage several women only gyms, supporting members through different stages of life.

Like many people, I have also faced setbacks, including injuries that forced me to step away from training for a period of time. Rebuilding my own strength required patience and consistency. My own life experiences shaped the way I coach today.

I now offer mobile personal training for people over 40 who want to build strength, improve balance and feel more confident in their everyday movement, without the pressure or culture of a traditional gym.

My approach is steady, practical and tailored to where you are starting.

Why I Created

Fitness 4 Life

Over the years that I worked managing gyms, I noticed something interesting. Many of the older women I worked with would quietly ask if I could personally train them. At the time, I did not fully understand why, but I do now.

When I decided to invest in my own personal training again in my forties, I quickly realised something. Most trainers wanted me in a gym environment, and most of them were in their twenties. That approach simply did not resonate with where I was in life. I did not need to train like my 20 year old self. I needed someone who understood the 40 year old version of me, the responsibilities, the injuries, the hormonal shifts, and the different goals.

It finally made sense. The women who had asked me to train them were not just looking for a program. They were looking for someone who understood where they were in life.

So I established Fitness 4 Life. Originally founded in Canberra with a clear purpose, to create a supportive mobile training service for people over 40 who did not feel comfortable in traditional gym environments.

When we relocated to the South Coast in 2025, I made the decision to close the business. But the need for this style of training never left me. The more I looked around, the more I realised that many people at this stage of life still felt overlooked by mainstream fitness culture. Myself included.

By 2026, once we were settled in our new home, I knew something was missing. I missed working with clients. I missed the connection. I missed seeing people grow stronger and more confident in their own bodies.

So here we are again.

Now based on the South Coast, I support clients with training that is practical, steady and designed for long term health.

Mobile training removes barriers. It removes comparison. It removes intimidation. It allows sessions to happen in a space where you already feel comfortable.

Fitness 4 Life exists to make strength training accessible, realistic and sustainable for this stage of life.

A Supportive Team Approach

Meet Suzanne,

Originally from Québec, Canada, Suzanne moved to Australia for love. She is fluent in both English and French and now happily calls Australia home. Suzanne is also a military veteran, giving her a deep understanding of the powerful connection between strength, fitness and mental wellbeing. She is currently completing her fitness qualifications.

Suzanne attends sessions with me and plays an active role in assisting clients throughout their training. Many people appreciate having two women present, particularly if they are returning to exercise after a long break or starting exercise for the first time and feeling unsure.

She has a genuine passion for helping people train and move better, something that becomes obvious the moment you speak with her. With a strong background in strength training and previous experience in bodybuilding, she brings a strong focus on technique, structure and steady progression.

While I lead all programming and exercise prescription, Suzanne’s presence allows for greater attention to detail and encouragement during each session.

Our focus remains simple. Safe, structured training designed to support long term strength, confidence and independence.

Who I Work With

Fitness 4 Life is designed for people over 40 who want to feel stronger, steadier and more confident in their everyday life.

Most of my clients are not athletes. They are real people navigating busy lives, changing bodies and different stages of health.

Many are:

  • Returning to exercise after years away

  • Feeling unsure or intimidated by traditional gym environments

  • Moving through peri menopause, menopause or age related hormonal changes

  • Wanting to improve bone density, balance and long term independence

  • Managing injuries, pain or ongoing health conditions

  • Looking for encouragement and structure rather than pressure

Some simply want to feel more capable getting up from the floor, carrying groceries, walking confidently on uneven ground or keeping up with grandchildren.

You do not need to be fit to begin.

You do not need to “get ready” before reaching out.

Sessions are tailored to your starting point and adjusted at a pace that feels steady and realistic for you.
